I mean like it’s not too easy to just uproute your life and move country unless you have something waiting for you on the other side. Although being born in the UK would mean you wouldn’t need any working permits at least.
Lucky I have lots of family there, so I wouldn’t be alone and without support.
It was probably too long ago for them to claim that it’s their fault unfortunately, been a very slow process of it getting worse. A good service and a new fuel pump might be good enough, I just can’t afford them right now.
Well my part of the country doesn’t have any automotive engineering at all, well apart from assembling Nissans, that’s why I moved to Swansea! Although the UK is a bit smaller then simply moving to somewhere in NA with more industry unfortunately.
In terms of what I want to do, the UK is the only place. The only place in the world that makes small, light sports cars and has racing teams too.
Canada is empty for that - though Michigan in the US does have automotive engineering jobs, those are about 28-30 hours drive away (~1900 miles). They’re also not really in the jobs I want.
Something to do with the diesel injection system I think actually, getting an alarming amount of knock when I put any amount of revs on when cold. Think my timing belt wasn’t installed right when I had a new one put on last year.
Hmmm, weird. Knock in a diesel, very unusual.
Hope you slapped the mechanic who did it (can’t you just bring it in and get them to fix it for free?)
Yeah, but I never get her up to temperature, which isn’t helping, she actually runs quite well when warm (think I might take her for a blast along the sea front to get her up to temperature and a decent drive for once actually)
